November 2022 - October 2023Promoted to lead the product design function at eDesk. Designing & prioritising for hero roadmap items, research delegation and placing heavy focus on the eDesk design system and its scalability.
May 2022 - November 2022I was a Product Designer at eDesk spread across 3 teams throughout my time there. I worked with the Core team to continuously and iteratively improve upon eDesk users experiences in their day to day. I worked with the Integrations team to scope and plan for 3rd party integrations such as WhatsApp, Amazon, Aircall & more.
November 2020 - May 2022With different user types from different walks of life and technical backgrounds: estate agents / solicitors / buyers / sellers—ensuring the product was meeting the needs and capabilities of all parties involved in the complex process of buying and selling of property was of utmost importance.
August 2019 - November 2020I collaborated on many projects with Hayley in the two years we worked together, and I can't recommend her more highly. Hayley has had an enormously positive impact on eDesk. She radically improved the entire UI in the product that lead to easier onboarding, and a much better daily experience for our users. She was also well liked by all the team, and clearly smart and hard working.
We worked on many complicated integrations, and Hayley always quickly understood the concepts and often dug into the API documentation to grasp the technical restrictions before coming up with the ideal flow. Hayley doesn't just keep things to a high level, she jumps into the problem and really deeply understands it, before presenting well considered solutions.
In general, Hayley's approach to problem solving is spot on, she's keeps the customer front of mind, and always remains open minded to new data and technical restrictions to produce excellent solutions for our customers.
I see Hayley as the perfect combination of low ego and great talent that makes her a fantastic colleague to work with.
Hayley is one of the most capable designers I've ever worked with, she thinks deeply about, and continuously strove to understand more of, the core jobs to be done by our customers.
What I loved about working with Hayley is that she'd take that a loosely defined problem statement, work with colleagues and customers to converge on something impactful and delightful and, because of her deep understanding of the space, has anticipated the future adjacent problems and solutions in her solutions
Hayley is a fantastic Designer and colleague. I was lucky enough to work alongside her at eDesk where she designed some of the company's most strategic Product initiatives.
Firstly, Hayley is extremely adaptable. She is capable of switching between building a quick POC for a stakeholder to working with engineers to translate complex systems into seamless user experiences. After that, she'll have no problem lending a hand with the creation of graphics for marketing content or leading a user interview. Her skills as a Designer and a Creative more generally, are never ending!
Beyond her skills, Hayley is super easy to work with. She is the voice of reason in any meeting, always centring the discussion back around the customer/user and the job to be done. There isn't an ounce of ego with Hayley - she will always collaborate with you on her designs, asking for feedback early and often. She really is the dream partner in crime for any Product Manager or Team Lead.
I'm currently not open to any roles, but always keen to chat all things design and interesting side projects.
